Performance and Engine

The Sorento’s standard engine is available in the L and LX trims. The 3.3-liter V-6 engine in the SX produces 290 horsepower and 252 pounds of torque. You can add the engine to either the EX or SX. The engine comes with the same transmission as the other drive options. It is expected to get 21 mpg combined, 18 in the city and 26 on the highway. The V-6 engine can tow 3,500 pounds when equipped in front-wheel drive and 5,000 with all-wheel.
